I was referred to Josh (Owner of RestoPros) by a friend in my neighborhood who had used his company and had rave reviews.
My home was suffering floor-level water damage in one of the bedrooms, seeping into the floor through the carpet from an unknown source after several days of rain. In the moment where water was coming in, and I couldn't make sense of the problem, or what to do or where to turn first, I began calling vendors left and right looking for ANY possible guidance. I reached out to Josh, and from the moment we connected, I began to feel more at ease.
Josh is a homeowner, and having experienced an issue similar to mine which brought him into the business, straight away he began to put me at ease with a process for which we could help mitigate the damage, even without knowing the source of the problem. He listened carefully to the specifics of the issue - asked questions, took time to pause and think as he was talking, and then offered guidance. His answers were not "scripted" or pulled from repeat use; I genuinely felt like he heard MY SPECIFIC issues and was crafting in his mind a mitigation plan CATERED ONLY to my home.
After about 30 minutes (yes, 30 minutes) of dialogue, thoughts, troubleshooting, and explanations of what his company could thoughtfully provide, he said he would come by SAME DAY to take a better look, and low and behold, not 3 hours later, he was at my door with the most amazing tech Angelo. The two of them placed booties on their shoes, arrived with a robust amount of equipment in hand, and began surveying the area, and all areas around it, looking to understand the full scope of the issue.
They took time, they communicated, and we dialogued the entire time Angelo was on his hands and knees, explaining every step he was taking within every level of my home (removing the baseboards, examining the drywall, testing for moisture, pulling back carpet, etc.) and why each was necessary to properly diagnose.
Unlike other similarly-positioned vendors in the industry, when we got to a part of the process that left unknowns, Josh and Angelo explained ALL of our options and offered related pricing so I had a full understanding of what their work would be, what benefit it would offer, and what it would cost. Their goal was to do as little drywall cutting / damage as possible with the most amount of benefit.
Ironically, another vendor I had called offering the same service arrived to make a proposal during Josh and Angelo's time. In comparing the two, it was unmistakably evident from their professionalism, preparedness and knowledge of through hands-on experience that they were the ONLY possible choice!
We agreed together to begin mitigating the water issue after all variables had been disclosed, and within 2 minutes of my signing the iPad proposal, Angelo was in position in the room, setting up industrial strength fans, humidifiers, and contraptions necessary extract all of the water out of my very saturated carpet.
Thorough is an understatement - he took his time, he was precise, he kept the entire area completely clean and sectioned-off from the rest of the bedroom for ease of continued living in and around the space.
I have never seen such an efficient, dedicated and genuinely invested duo; I couldn't have imagined working with ANYONE else for this extremely overwhelming issue.
Every day since the installing of the equipment they have returned to check in personally on the progress of the process. (Even on a Saturday night)
I could not recommend Josh and Angelo more highly. You will not find better contractors in the state of Florida; more loyal, honest, and genuinely interested in helping to solve the problem. I am so grateful for all the work and care they brought to my issue, and would refer them to anyone I know looking for support with water mitigation, potential mold, restoration and like-support.
